Why Christians Can Use EFT Tapping!

This article succinctly says what I have tried to explain in the 5 EFT for Christians books I have written.

1). Chinese medicine and Chinese religion are 2 different things, just as Western Medicine and any western religious beliefs are completely different. Usually, when we show up in an ER, we don't ask the trauma physician if he or she is a Christian, we are just grateful for their help!

2). As a Practitioner in EFT when working with a client who has physical issues, our first question is, "have you seen a doctor?" There is definitely a place for both Eastern and Western medicine. If I have a gangrene gallbladder, probably caused by my reaction to abuse, where I carry around rage, anger, hatred, I'm not necessarily going to try to "cure" it with tapping. I want a competent surgeon to remove it before it bursts and I become septic. Then I will want to deal with the negative emotions that got me in the fix to begin with so something else physical doesn't go haywire!

3). Being a history buff, I agree with this author that not all early Western medicine researchers, such as William Harvey, Lister, Salk, etc. were Christians. They might have been. Who cares? Does that mean I reject all their findings? Of course, I don't. Their religious beliefs as they researched how God put together the human body has absolutely no bearing on what they personally believed about the Creator Himself!

4). Research surely now seems to show that there is a direct relationship between our emotions and our physical health. God is in the healing business. Jesus performed many miracles, as did His apostles. Miracles still happen today. Healing is God's purview, not satan's. satan never healed anyone! So, like the instructions to Apostle Peter in Acts, eat sacrificed meat, it doesn't matter what the original intent or belief system was, God blesses it and sanctions for our good because He created it for our wellbeing.

Be Rooted in Christ as You Tap!

In the book "Anointed with the Spirit and Power The Holy Spirit's Empowering Presence" by John D. Harvey pages 183-189 he writes, "First, each of us is unique; God creates us as individuals, not clones. Each member of the body of Christ brings with him or her a unique set of personality traits, talents, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. The diversity created by such a combination of individuals is one of the church's strengths. Second, not only is each of us unique, God is infinite. He is capable of infinite variety. The Spirit, therefore, deals with each of us individually and sovereignty to accomplish what He wishes through each of us.
Here are suggestions for raising your sail to pick up the "wind of the Holy Spirit:

1) "Make certain that your heart is wholly devoted to God."
2) "Determine not to compromise your walk with God"
3) "Be sensitive and repent over sin."
4) "Be faithful in the little things."
5) "Devote yourselves to prayer."
6) "Keep your eyes on Jesus."

All of these things I have encouraged you to do as regards Christian EFT tapping in the books I have written and the YouTube videos I have made.

Carry on, ladies (and a few gents), with your tapping. Allow the HS to root out whatever is not healthy and whatever is not serving the Kingdom.

Our Lord is faithful to do so. Amen!

Remember, EFT is not a substitute for sound medical care, so please consult your own personal physician when you need that help.

What are Emotional Triggers?

Emotional triggers consists of thoughts, memories, or physical sensations that provoke an automatic underlying response in us. It just happens without any conscious thinking. A trigger does exactly what the word implies - it "triggers" us into a flashback type sensation or an automatic response that feels nearly exactly like the feelings we experience at the time the original trauma, abuse, or negative event occurred. It feels like we are re-experiencing the memory all over again.

The subconscious mind buries many deep painfully emotional memories for us for several decades after it happens, especially abuse memories, and in particular sexual abuse memories.
This is a protective mechanism instilled in us at creation. God knew we couldn't handle the fall-out at age 3 or 8 or 14, or any other age for that matter, when the event occurred, so it all gets buried.
Burying the hurtful memories (and that well could be a mild word - hurtful) sounds like a great idea!
It was in that moment, but TODAY those memories are running a chronic STRESS response behind the our conscious awareness. Our bodies weren't created to deal with ongoing chronic stress.
Eventually the emotional stress breaks down our body. The ongoing tension has to go somewhere if it isn't released.
It's kinda like a spring. It is designed to do a job but eventually it wears out and something breaks!
Tap, tap, tap!

We must settle down our emotional & physical mind. We must re-regulate ourselves. The Holy Spirit is right there with you to help. We must turn off the decades' old alarm bells, and triggers are those old alarm bells STILL ringing!
Triggers are messages from the Holy Spirit alerting us that there is still old faulty emotional information running behind the scene of our conscious mind.

He will bring to mind whatever memories need to be tapped on WHEN HE KNOWS YOU ARE READY AND CAN EMOTIONALLY HANDLE IT.

For those of us who have experienced very early emotional abuse, it may take months or years of sitting with the uncomfortable feelings and tapping. I often hear women say that they felt better after an hour of tapping, but then the "feelings came back." Yes, they do. This doesn't mean that your tapping and praying was wasted, it just means there is much more to do. Keep at it. Eventually the amygdala (alarm center) tends to settle down. It sometimes takes a lot of soothing to convince it that you are now safe.

Remember, EFT is NOT a substitute of good medical or psychological care, so take care of yourself by contacting your personal physician please.

PUNS in EFT

I received this email and I wanted to use it as a "teaching moment". Here is the email with a couple highlights:

"I wrote this today in the eye doctor’s office waiting for an appointment to have my eyes checked again for macular degeneration. While driving to the appointment, I was recalling Scriptures that tell us not to be anxious and I wondered how God expected us to never worry or be concerned. And that led to thinking about the difference between just worrying and having a legitimate concern that I was pretty sure God did not want me to turn a “BLIND EYE" — (pardon the pun). I surmised that genuine concerns were legitimate but God wanted us to give the concerns to Him and not just start worrying about them and coming to our own conclusions. My eyes don’t show macular degeneration, but he says I have 3 types of cataracts but they are not bad enough to have surgery yet.

One type on my left eye distorts lines when I am looking at them — the lines in road, the computer, tile work, etc. and we have MORE LINES IN OUR LINE OF VISION (sorry for the pun again, it is way past my bedtime) than we really notice. My left eye will distort the line in my vision on the left side, by bulging out an area of a line for a nano moment. Not all the time, just sometimes, but I am noticing it more than when it started a couple of weeks ago.

I have given the concern to God and am choosing to keep giving my worried thought to God as well and carry them. I’m tapping away as I pray."

Notice capitalized highlighted words she mentioned as "puns". They look like puns, feel like puns, but they aren't true puns!

This is EXACTLY what the subconscious mind (SC) does! When tapping pay close attention to the "wording" of what suddenly comes to mind and out of your mouth when tapping aloud. Your mind will be blown, as the SC loves homonyms, synonyms, rhymes, alliteration etc. It is in that WORD ASSOCIATION that the SC gains and thrives on perceptions! Often you GET in life EXACTLY what you SAY! You may not really mean it the way to wording sounds, but the SC mind is extremely literal and possesses no sense of humor! This is the power of the spoken word... God created the world by spoken word, etc. Your SC mind creates YOUR world by the power of your spoken word (and inner thoughts) too. Proverbs 25:11-13, Proverbs 12:18, Proverbs 16:24

When tapping pay attention to the words the Holy Spirit gives you. Often they are specific clues as to why you believe something, or the origin of where the beliefs comes from, or who led you to believe the statement in the first place.

These clues will likely give you specifics as related to your problem at hand. You then can tap on all of this new information as they likely are limiting beliefs in your life.

Remember, EFT is not a substitute for sound medical care, so please consult your own personal physician or psychologist before you use EFT.

Be blessed in Christ Jesus!

Seasonal Reactions and EFT/Tapping

It's seasonal allergy time of the year.

Has anyone used tapping to reintegrate the symptoms?

Tap specifically on each symptom itself.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what the symptoms mean and what event or memory is buried in them, and then tap the negative emotions completely out of the memory.

Personally, I have found that often seasonal allergies are grief based.

If that is true for you, what are you grieving? Death? Relationship? Job? Accident? Divorce? Bad marriage?

Christian EFT and Thanksgiving - Change Your Life!

Combining EFT with thanksgiving has a powerful effect over our psyches and our physical health.

Let me explain.

What thoughts go through your mind when your grandchild profusely thanks you for a gift you have given her? You feel delighted that you were able to delight her, don’t you? And your reaction to all these heartwarming feelings is what? You want to give her more and more! The more pleased her reaction the more you want to please her in order to elicit again and again that same reaction that warms your own heart!

How do you think God the Father feels when we are grateful to Him for His mercies and gifts to us?  Right, the exact same way! Gratitude begets blessings and blessings should beget more gratitude. Positive attitudes moves one forward; negative attitudes pushes one backwards.  Honor God with our thanksgiving, so more blessings come!

It also proves to God that you really are thankful for the circumstances right here and now, no matter how good or bad the issues really are. And when situations improve, how would you know that they have improved except to have been where things weren’t good at all. Gratitude gives us a rule from which to judge future events.

Psalm 149:4 reads, “For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” Psalm 35:27 says, “May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, "The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant.”

God wants to give us more and more, but we must be grateful for what we have right now. Right now may not look too prosperous, but God expects gratitude for what it is. Like that grandchild of yours, the more excited you are with God’s blessings, the more He will shower upon you.

God does allow tests in our lives to see if we are faithful to trust Him, but He also supplies us according to His riches and favor, as stated in Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

So, what does any of this have to do with EFT?

First, confess your ingratitude to God. Tap and confess your faithlessness, mistrust, and lack of belief in Him for Who He is.

Now, begin a new habit of tapping regularly and thanking God for every little thing in your life!

However, tap and thank God for what you want as if it has already come to pass.  Tap in the past tense.  “Thank you, Jesus, for my healed right knee,” thank you, Lord, for our amazing relationship,” thank you, Father, for our repaired plumbing (within a budget I can afford),” “thank you, God, for beautiful new car I needed to get to work.”

It may not be true today, but you would like it to be true, and you would like God to make it so.

Proverbs 6:2 tells us we keep ourselves trapped by our own words, “You have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth.”

When we talk negatively about our life, what we say will come to pass. Stop saying what you don’t want. Thank God in gratitude and praise for what He has given you, and pray the same for what you want as if it has already happened. Speak it into existence. “It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,” 2 Corinthians 4:13.

Our own words trap us into a life we don’t want. Negative words stop God’s blessings in our life. We can literally prophesy our own future. “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21) are powerful words! Stop speaking problems into your life.

Pay attention, and become mindful of what comes out of your mouth!  When you catch yourself saying something negative about your life, yourself, or another person, make a mental note of it as something to later investigate, asking the Holy Spirit the source of the thought. And then tap it away, breaking that habit. But more importantly, when you stop yourself, change the wording to something positive. Speak it as if it has already happened. Keep all negative language out of the statement. Be careful you aren’t making a negative statement in a positive manner!

When time allows, bring forth into your mind while tapping, the source of the memories that led you to believe God won’t bless you. Negatively tap (here is the appropriate use of the negative)  away all the hindrances of these beliefs, and watch your attitude change and shift toward thanking God for all He has given you.

Declare out loud what you know God wants of you and allow our God to change the circumstances to make that promise come alive in you. “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” is written in Philippians 4:13. Apostle Paul understood adversity. Scholars aren’t completely sure where Paul was when he penned this to the Philippians, but the consensus is he was in prison in Rome awaiting eventual death. Now, that’s adversity!

Allow no one to talk you out of what God has asked you to do. Take a big step of faith and move out, declaring out loud the truth of your purpose and mission. Expect God to move, and He will most certainly do so.

As we Christian EFT practitioners tap with hundreds of people a year, we see this exact process play out time after time. Once we have used tapping to eliminate the negative memories and the accompanying reaction to the events in our life, we sit back and watch God motivate and prosper that brother or sister with whom we tapped. I’ve personally seen amazing sights God has brought about through EFT. Women moving out into ministries that God had set up for them to do. Others are writing music for God. Books are written to the glory of God. God is using these healed women (and men) to forward His Kingdom – they are truly His hands and feet.

As the shift comes, and it will come, God will amaze you at the blessings He will shower upon you once you change your mind and begin speaking out the positive truth of what He wants to give you, and thanking Him for what He has already given you,  because He loves you more than anything else that exists.

Feelings and EFT

Stop listening to your emotions, many times feeling sorry for yourself, or feeling like a victim, and tap!  Tapping gives you the ability to then stand on the Word of God. Let God tell you who you are and who you belong to.

Remember, satan condemns, but the Holy Spirit convicts!  If you have asked forgiveness for what you have done, but you still feel condemned, it isn't God!

He's already forgotten what you did. If you want to move on, learn EFT, or call a Christian practitioner for EFT help. I can supply a list for you. Email me today.

Stand on the Word of God, not the words of the enemy!

To God be the glory!

EFT is God's Pocket Change

EFT is God’s Pocket Change!

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an astounding healing modality.  It just really is. God uses it to open up our eyes to His possibilities for our life.

EFT works on phobias, fears, worry, cravings, addictions, physical issues, insomnia, abuse, compulsive disorder, food & environmental sensitivities and just about everything else.

God so wants us to live an abundant life that He sent Jesus to earth as our substitute for our sins, but God looks out for every area of our welfare. “And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” Isaiah 58:11 ESV. We don’t have some deistic god who set the world in motion, and then backed off to watch both the humans and his inanimate creation do life in their own ways, playing out literally however the dice rolls with the strongest, meanest, and toughest winning the race. No, our God is alive and involved in every aspect of our lives from the moment of conception until the second He takes us home to heaven with Him. God is really in control. “The Lord of hosts has sworn: ‘As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand’” Isaiah 14:24 ESV.

EFT is simply another gift from a gracious God who in His mercy understands that we humans need all the help we can get to do this thing called life.  Jesus understands it so well, as during his tenure here on earth, He experienced all the temptations and travails that we are subjected to on a daily basis, even death.

By tapping, literally, into the healing process God assigned to our bodies when He created us, He gives us another tool to bring us through life in a more wholesome and pleasant manner.

As we tap away, after confessing and repenting of whatever sins are associated with the action, our emotions of things we have done, or things that have been done to us by others, we find ourselves in a position where God becomes so much more real to us.

Our lives are not polluted with the muck and mire of negative emotions that manhandle us into disease, depression, and death. We find ourselves with eye alert and wide open taking in all that God has shown us that life can be. Suddenly His creation appears bigger and brighter than ever. Colors come alive. Details of creation around us pop into focus. We are more light-hearted. Humor abounds. We even laugh at ourselves. Things of the past no longer seem so serious. Often those details around the negative events begin to fade and float away. We have no need to remember. Those memories are not who we are.

We belong to God. God is now. Jesus is alive, as is the Holy Spirit, and both become an integral part of our life, as we find ourselves free to worship in spirit and in truth. We no longer must hide who we think we are, afraid someone might find out we aren’t who we say we are. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth” John 4:23-24.

Can EFT really do all this? Yes, it can. There are millions of people who use this wonderful gift from God on a routine, often daily, basis to keep their lives in tune and on track with what God has in mind for them to do for Him.

EFT really is God’s pocket change. It is so simple to learn, and so easy to use, yet it is a powerful tool, but only a small one in God’s great big arsenal of all that He has in store for you.

Are you ready to join the EFT Revolution?  I hope so. You will never regret it.

Call a Christian EFT Practitioner today. I have a list available for you – all you must do is request it.

EFT is not a substitute for medical care. Please take personal responsibility for your own emotional and physical well-being.

Paula's Story about Her Dad's Death

EFT for Christians book has been out for many months now, and exciting things have been happening.

Here is a case study outlined in EFT for Christians on pages 163-170 with a follow-up comment Paula listed at the bottom of the case study. This is a shortened version of the printed book story.

If you are a Christian, or if you know anyone interested in becoming a Christian EFT practitioner, please give them my website - http://www.EFTforChristians.com/ . My email and book ordering information can be found there.

Paula and Dad
As a member of a Christian medical organization, I was asked to give a speech about exactly what our group does. I agreed. The only business cards I had with me were my EFT for Christians ones, so I tossed them, literally, on the tables for the ladies to take if they so desired.

I did my presentation as requested. As we finished with the follow-up questions, someone asked me, “What is this?” pointing to my business card. I asked if it was permissible for me to describe it. The group agreed for me to go ahead.

During the talk, an older lady began to cry. I, of course, noticed her, and inquired what was wrong.

Paula looked me in the eye, and asked, “You mean to tell me if we tapped, I can move some of these emotions I have about seeing my Dad killed before my very eyes when I was seven years old?” I grinned and told her, “Yes, I think I can help you. When do you want to tap?” “Right now!” came her answer.

I was agreeable to tap right then and there, as the rest of the group was ready to go home to supper. A few asked if they could stay to “watch.” I gently told them I didn’t think that to be a good idea. Paula and I needed to do this tapping alone.

I found us a quiet corner in the building, and then I went looking for some tissues, and a pen and paper. I almost always take notes. I use them to go back to test and retest our tapping results. I believe I get a more thorough clearing because sometimes, I, too, get into the client’s story and to remember later the possible six, or eight, or ten different things we covered is difficult. Note-taking is a personal choice. No client has ever asked me not to do so.

As with my usual methodology, I opened with prayer and I asked Paula to begin tapping immediately. Some coaches dislike this because they feel it brings the emotions down too much, making it more difficult for the client to access what is going on in the memory. I, personally, find it does the exact opposite. It gives notice to the subconscious to wake up and help out here, it is time to tap and clear out emotional memories.

With that earlier little crying sentence Paula gave me, I didn’t anticipate this to be a dry, tearless session – her father’s death. No way was this story going to be told without many tears.

I inquired as to how old she was when her father died. Paula answered, “I was seven and I saw it happened and it has influenced my whole life since. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about that accident. And, I know it impacts my relationship with my husband, and my children. I hover over them for fear something bad will happen to them. I can’t ever lose someone like that again, but I know I have to leave things in God’s hands, and I can’t. I worry constantly.”

“Paula, tell me the story, please, in your own words. When you hit a part in the story that is really emotional, stop and we will tap that part until you are comfortable going on,” I instructed her.
She began the story, “My dad was the godliest man I knew. He read the Bible to me, took us all to church, and treated us all so well. I pretty much just adored him. He decided one weekend to help a neighbor man move to a new apartment. He took all of us kids along in order to give Mother a break. We loved being with dad. Everything was loaded in the truck and I asked dad if I could sit in his lap. He and my older brother were sitting on the open tailgate of the truck. Dad told me no and put me up against the truck cab in front.

Off we started with the neighbor man driving. Suddenly, the truck hit a pothole. I heard the tailgate slam up and down, and then I saw both my brother and dad slide off the flipping tailgate. My brother rolled, but dad went straight down on his back, hitting his head on the pavement.”
As you can imagine, the tears began in earnest. I assisted her in tapping every single detail of those two paragraphs, until she could say them without any emotion in her voice.

She continued, “Finally, the man stopped the truck. Someone closed up the tailgate trapping me in the truck. I hollered to get them to let me out. Another man picked me up and set me down on the road. I saw dad. He was lying still with his head in a big puddle of blood.”

The crying understandably resumed at this point.

Once again, I helped her tap down all the emotions around this part of the story. She calmed, blew her nose, and said, “Let’s keep going.” What a brave woman!

A lady from across the street came to get me while all the commotion of the ambulance was happening. I don’t know who called my mother. The lady sat me down on her porch steps and gave me some rootbeer soda and a cookie.

To break the tension a little bit, I stopped her and said, “I bet you don’t like rootbeer soda to this day, do you?” Paula looked at me and inquired, “How did you know that?” I smiled and said, “Because rootbeer is associated with this horrible negative memory, I knew you’d never drink it again.” Paula looked at me like she had never thought of that before (and she probably hadn’t) and I asked her to continue with the tale.

“The ambulance took dad away and I never saw him alive again. I know he was alive in the street because I could hear him moaning.” And, once again, the crying began, great big sobs, with her shoulders shaking, as if she was experiencing the incident right now in the present. Frankly, to her subconscious, she was because, until this incident has EFT applied to it, her subconscious is playing this accident in her mind and body as it is still present tense.

We repeated the tapping process again, covering all the specific details of this particular part of the story until she settled down and the crying stopped.

At that point, she did tell me more about what happened to the family after her dad died, and how hard it was on her older siblings and her mom to keep food on the table. Paula’s job was to watch the younger kids while everyone else went to work.

We continued to tap as she related the rest of the story details to me, but she never cried again. The “punch” had been pulled out of the incident.

I have no idea how long we tapped, but my best guess is about forty minutes. I asked her to one more time to tell me the whole story again from a neutral place of having breakfast before dad loaded them all in the truck to help the neighbor.

Paula did as I instructed her. Even she was surprised at how little emotion she had about the event. She stopped twice and commented about how different she now felt. I noticed that her emphasis on particular adjectives had lessened. She changed a few words that had a harsh meaning previously to something more subdued. “Terrible” was changed to “bad”. “Huge puddle of blood” under her dad’s head was just a “puddle of blood.” The biggest change was how she said the words, “Bang, bang, bang,” complete with hand raising and lowering emphasis indicating what the truck tailgate had done when the truck hit that fatal pothole. By the third of fourth telling of the story, the “bang, bang” were just words said in an emotionless manner. We EFT practitioners see this quite often. Words change or soften once the emotion is pulled out of the traumatic event.

In the telling of the story, Paula told me how mean this neighbor man had become after that, saying, “Why couldn’t it have been him that was killed and not my dad. He began to drink a lot after that accident.”

I asked her if she hated this man. In typical Christian fashion, Paula said, “Oh, no, we aren’t allowed to hate.” I asked again, “Do you hate this man? Tap and ask the Holy Spirit if you do.”
She compiled, and she looked at me with big wide eyes, saying, “You know, I do hate him. I never realized that!”

Doing the repentance part of Christian EFT, I asked if she would like to confess that sin of hatred right here, right now, before God and complete the process. Paula readily agreed!
I lead her through a confession of sins, in a simple manner, as God doesn’t require lofty words. He just wants to hear us say that we are sorry from a sincere heart, and He will indeed forgive us. He always does! He’s our heavenly Father.

I barely  finished the prayer, and Paula replied, “I never thought of this! No wonder that man was so mean and drank so much. He had a reason to do so.” And I replied, “Yes, because he was responsible for your father’s death!”

Never have I seen such a beautiful grin as the one planted on Paula’s face at that moment. I knew in my heart God had just done another one of his miraculous healings through the power of his created EFT. My heart was bursting, knowing what I had just experienced – freeing of a sister in Christ from a lifelong haunting event. EFT most often is a permanent healing, if we did our work well.

A week later, I received a written thank you from Paula. I quote it here:
“My burden has been lifted since our session together.
I no longer feel like my witnessing of my father’s accident is still happening over and over. I am set free and know it happened, but I don’t relive it. As for my feelings toward the neighbor man, hate is gone and so is the blame. I know all was in God’s mysterious plan.
I live in the now and know I’m part of God’s plan and He leads me.
I tap and unload all other things that come up daily. We are so wonderfully made.
Thank you so much for helping me to help myself.
God bless you and all you do for others,
Paula”

Paula summed up in one small note nearly everything we teach EFT to be. It pulls the emotion out of our past, putting us in the here and now, living in the present, enjoying all that God gives us. Forgiveness and empathy tends to follow the tapping, giving us the ability to emulate our Savior when He went to the Cross on Calvary and carried all our sins, there to forgive us all.
I am so blessed to be allowed to do this process for my Christian family, and any other precious people that God sends my way. Amen! Paula and I never tapped again, although she has told me she does use EFT when anything emotional arises in her life.

“7/25/15 I must tell you of this happening yesterday. Our four children were gathered at our home for a family patio dinner. Son & wife in from MI & daughter & husband in from lower FL. Our other two children are from here. In our later evening conversation around the fire I had everyone's attention telling them how I was freed from the heavy load I carried for 68 years. I no longer break down when I mention the death of my father. They asked how so told them of my session with you & explained the tapping. This also was the first time my husband had knowledge of it & asked why. I said I felt you would think it hokum. I told them you wrote my experience changing my story in her book which she gave me. At that, my youngest daughter went inside to my bookshelf. She came outside with it finding the Paula story. With everyone silent she read the complete story to all. They were amazed! She then asked if she could borrow the book to read, I said by all means. Not one of the 18 family members belittled it at all!! I can't thank you enough.”

We Must Remember!

Jeremy Camp's song We Must Remember is a great reminder that God died once and for all for us!  He has tossed our sins as far as the east is from the west - He remembers them no more!

EFT is a process that God uses to make us forget our confessed sins and move on to do the job He ordained for us to do for His Kingdom before we were born!

Remember, satan condemns; the Holy Spirit convicts.

If you have confessed your sin, including those bad habits, hatred, anger, etc., and still they plague you and you cannot seem to move beyond it, conquering the behavior, remember it is satan messing with you.

EFT & Standing in the Gap - Depression

EFT & Standing in the Gap

Ezekiel 22:20 reads, “Thus I have searched among them for someone who could build a wall or stand in the breach before me to keep me from destroying the land; but I found no one”.
God always looks for someone, a Christian, to stand in the gap for another. Who is available? Who is willing? Sadly, today, not many people are. We are too busy, too pre-occupied with our own lives in this rattle trap hectic world.
Many times, when this Scripture verse is cited, it is always used in conjunction with intercessory prayer for an unbeliever. I want to take the context a bit further. Prayer is absolutely essential, without a doubt. God wants us to ask and He is faithful to answer, but the step further I’m discussing is actually physically standing in the gap for the hurting person.
What is bringing this thought forward is I have a friend from church that is having an awful time, right now, with depression.  No one wants to hang around a depressed person. It’s nasty. They cry, whine, talk negatively, and just mostly wish they were dead, to put it about as plainly as I can, as a R.N.  How do I know this? I’ve been in this dear sister’s shoes before myself.  Not only did the emotions of depression near drown me, but it went even a step further. I wanted to be dead. I wanted out of my misery, and eliminate myself as the source of misery for everyone around me.  I hated myself. I was angry at everyone and everything. The pain was nearly unbearable.
So, what happens when a person feels this way?  Everyone avoids them!  Unless you have experienced firsthand, or known someone close to you who has been depressed, you have absolutely no idea what to do or how to help a depressed person. The last thing you want to do is spend time with them. You run in the opposite direction as quickly as you can.
However, all this does to the depressed person is to make them feel more isolated and depressed, compounding the problem. They don’t care about themselves, and, now, it appears neither does anyone else. It is a horrible position to be in.
I would like to suggest a solution. A useable, concrete, viable solution to the problem - teach the depressed one to tap. Yes, use Emotional Freedom Techniques on the symptoms!  The more they cry, the deeper they are feeling the effects and emotions of their depression and sadness. Tap, and keep tapping until the crying breaks. It works.  The person will eventually stop crying, and you have begun the process of changing those negative neural connections within the physiology God created, directing them toward a healthier and optimistically balanced outlook on life.
I want to go one step further. Tapping on people with depression-like symptoms takes perseverance; it must be repeating over and over until relief is obtained. Not only does the saddened friend feel overwhelmed, but they also feel very much alone. I would suggest asking them if company is something that strengthens them, giving them hope that someone actually cares.  If so, then offer to come visiting every other day and tap with them, keeping their spirits up and the neural connections moving in the positive directions. Often, EFT appointments are made every week or every other week, allowing the neurons to revert back to those deeply set negative positions. Try tapping frequently, encouraging your sad friend to do so for themselves if they are able. Offer, if you have time and the inclination, to simply sit with them quietly.
If the friend is having a particularly bad day when all it seems they are able to do is cry, try tapping on them. Just sit quietly and tap for them on whatever meridian points you can comfortably reach, without getting yourself into too many body fluids.  If you can only use the top of the head point, side of the eye, and the K-27 collarbone spot, it is good enough. Just keep tapping until the crying ceases. It will. I promise. You have just helped move a mountain of emotional garbage without ever really knowing what was involved in it. You don’t need to know the exact issue(s). All that is important for EFT to work is for the person to feel what s(he) is feeling. If they are crying, they are feeling the pain! The body and subconscious knows exactly what is going on and exactly what the person is experiencing, meaning it knows what it needs to clear and which emotions to move out. The Holy Spirit does all the thinking work; you just tap.
And while you tap, pray for your friend. Pray for healing and wholeness. Quietly pray or pray out loud- whatever you feel comfortable in doing.  “Confess your sins to each other and pray for one another so that you may be healed” James 5:16.
You have just stood in the gap for a friend!  Physically stood in the gap, as you have no idea what your friend is really thinking or feeling about life and death, unless they have chosen to share that with you. All those sadness based emotions must be moved along into the dustbin of history, if your friend is to heal.
Stand in the gap for them. Tap for them. Pray for them. Sit with them, even if it is in silence. Be a presence for them, as Jesus is for us. We are told to do what we can in the natural world, allowing God to take care of the supernatural one. Believe for a healing for your friend until they can believe it can happen for them. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be ours” Mark 11:24.  For those of us who know EFT, God equips us and commissions us to move forward and heal others. St. Augustine said it best, “Without God, we cannot. Without us, God will not."

Jesus stood in the gap of sin for us when He went to the Cross on Calvary to give us new life and set our feet on the pathway to heaven. It’s the least you can do for a fellow Christian, or anyone else, for that matter!

EFT & Trust in God

Wow, is God really exploding some of His truths into my consciousness! This is almost scary!  I pray often for the Wisdom of Solomon, and I know that many times I understand far beyond what I probably should, or see what is really happening below the surface, in situations around me.  At times, it is a heavy responsibility because, if I speak out with the truth, I’m ignored or rejected. I believe this is a true gift from the Holy Spirit – it is discernment, a rare gift.
Does it make me more special than anyone else? Nope!  Everyone has gifts of the Holy Spirit. The only question is:  are we willing to submit to His holy will and use them for the glorification of His Kingdom? One gift is no better or any worse than another. St. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6 & 11, “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines”. God gives us exactly what He wants us to have, but the point is we must use what we are given. I mean used actively for the furtherance of His Kingdom here on earth.
My heart is nearly overwhelmed with God’s truth of the past several days. I’m trying to figure out, well, the Holy Spirit is doing the work here, how to make a Christian EFT model, one that can be implemented easily & quickly into the churches nationwide - something understandable with simple concepts on all aspects of the science & psychology of all things EFT.
I’m working with a particularly “difficult” client right now, not that she is being difficult, but that her negative life process is so deeply embedded from years and years of depression. This in & of itself makes this a tough case, but it all goes one step further. She, and I shall call her Edith, is some prominent in the community. Edith is a Christian who is in a rotten place in life, not by any choice of hers.  I need to make Edith’s faith plain to her as we use EFT. God is showing me how He wants Christian EFT to go through Edith’s pain.
The other “difficulty” here is as much as I want to divorce my own personal feelings from this tapping case, I find myself slipping back into some of my old patterns of self-doubt and fears, too.  I’ve tapped about all this, and I’ve rebuked satan & covered myself with the Blood of the Lamb, but the doubts linger. What if I fail? What if I screw up here? What if EFT lets me down? What if Edith’s disease process is so bad that not even EFT can pry it loose? On and on I go with the internal questions.
I have a small squadron of my personal prayer warriors standing behind me, as I do these tough cases. I would never even consider doing any of this work without having myself covered in prayer, and with this woman even more so!
I’ve prayed now for 3 years for God to reveal what & how He wants me to use the EFT that He has given me. I feel He wants me to produce a specifically Christian brand of EFT for the churches, something most denominations will be comfortable with, no matter how liberal or how conservative. When I started developing this I had absolutely no idea what it would look like. None. I had an offer of a free website, specifically for Christians, and I jumped on that. I won’t turn down something free. Once, the website was agreed upon, I embarked on writing all these blogs, as a free blog was also part of the website deal. As I write God just explodes in my head, one idea after another, stuff I would have never, ever thought of myself. Wow, is God amazing, or what?
However, in this process, and in this new “difficult” case He dumped onto my lap, I’ve realized/learned a few new things.
This is an added dimension of trust that I found in me. I never realized it was there, and I know it is enhanced by own personal EFT work. This is a God thing!  This is not of me. As I work daily at this new website and blog, and now this new case with Edith, I realize how vulnerable I feel. I’ve just opened myself up once again to rejection and fear of failure. Today, I realized (while having iced tea with a dear sweet young gal & her 2 beautiful little daughters) exactly what I’m feeling. I’m scared I will screw this all up. That was a huge fear of mine as a child, well into my adult life. It kept me tied up, holding back from doing what God wanted me to do. I couldn’t even trust Him to make stuff work out.
I realized today that EFT has taken me beyond all that, at least for today, and that is all God asks of us – walk with Him one day at a time, trusting Him the entire way, to deal with whatever befalls us. As I have tapped away my childhood issues, God is faithful to me. He has opened up an entirely new level of trust & dependence on Him. I see where, and I knew this before, but it never stopped me from worrying, my failure and possible rejection has absolutely nothing to do with me.  This is huge! If I have complete and total dependence on Him, then, if failure occurs, it is His will for His purpose that it happens. I’m not a failure in His eyes, no matter what other men think. I’m a failure only if I fail to do as He bids me do. I fail if I allow myself to fall into disobedience to His holy will.
Now, don’t get me wrong, intellectually I always knew all this, but today, for the first time in my life, I feel this! I finally get it!  Something has changed in my physiology! EFT tapping has changed something, making it now a part of me. God is at work.
I’ve cleared out enough emotional garbage that God can finally use me for His eternal purposes. Most of the self-doubting worry is gone. And I mean really gone, as in vanished. I think I have arrived at the place where the lilies of the field live!  Matthew 6:25-33 reads:
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;  and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”.

I’m not called to look down the road a hundred miles, I’m only told to take one step at a time within the will of God, & seek His Kingdom first. I have no need to know what is ahead, and now the past is disabled, thanks to EFT. All that counts is the present. God has the past and God has the future (“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” Matthew 6:34).

I need only concern myself with the here and now – live in the mindfulness of the present, enjoying every minute God has allowed me to have on this earth. And the here and now is listening to the beckoning of the Holy Spirit, His instructions for my life, and then stepping out in faith & follow exactly those instructions. It means being completely and totally yielded to Him in everything.
What a spot to find myself in!  I’ve never been here before. I think it is pretty neat! Will I falter again & resume worrying? Possibly, but God has given me a wonderful tool in EFT. When worry or doubt sets in, I stop, excuse myself from the conversation, and head to a remote, quiet place and tap. What do I tap? First, I repent of the worry & doubt, and then I tap & pray, asking God to once again restore unto me His precious peace and confidence in knowing that I am walking in His perfect will. Psalm 51:10-12 reads: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit”.
What an amazing place to be, now that I’m 60 years old! The bottom line here is this: As I have tapped my way into internal cleanness, dredging up & discarding all of my emotional junk, God has honored me by blowing open a spiritual component to my Christian life that I never dreamed possible. Maybe this is the stuff, dimensions that the Christian mystics and fathers have spoken of in eons gone by. I knew nothing of it. How could I?  They were so buried under my pain and hurt and negative feelings, nothing good could penetrate them. I’ve picked and prodded myself, peeling away layer upon layer, of useless emotions, arriving at a spot I desired, but never thought possible. This may well be the peace that passes all understanding that St. Paul talks about in Philippians (“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” – Philippians 4:6-7). If it isn’t, then what in the world does that look like? I’d surely be anxious to know, wouldn’t you? Peace & trust, what a wonderful place to dwell. Thank you, Lord, thank you!
If you are interested in finding out how to get to this trustful place in your life, email me. I would love to show you how to do that with EFT. It really does work as I say it does. God be praised!
